Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS®).

To help reduce the likelihood or severity of a frontal impact, the available CMBS®* is engineered to apply the brakes if you don’t slow down when it senses you’re at risk of a collision. If it still senses an imminent collision, CMBS® is designed to brake firmly. The Collision Mitigation Braking System™ utilizes a millimeter wave radar unit, located behind the front grille, and a monocular camera located between the rearview mirror and windshield to scan traffic conditions ahead of the Accord.

Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system.

Using a camera behind the rearview mirror, the available LDW* is designed to monitor vehicle lane position and alert you when your vehicle drifts into a new lane when you haven’t signaled. LDW is engineered to provide visual and audible warnings prior to other Honda Sensing™ Systems actively engaging.

Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS).

Using the monocular camera to read lane markings, the available LKAS* is engineered to gently correct your steering when you begin to leave a detected lane without signalling, applying torque progressively to the steering to help guide you back to the centre of the lane.
