Honda has always considered it our responsibility and commitment for the future to ensure "blue skies for our children." We take this commitment very seriously.
Over the past three decades, environmental issues in the Canadian auto industry have evolved and the technologies required to meet them have advanced. But the fundamental challenge remains the same. We need to provide mobility for people while we protect the environment in which we live. For Honda, this means looking at the total impact of product development, production and use, and end-of-life treatment, with a special emphasis on more fuel efficient engine and emission technology. We continue to challenge ourselves to achieve this goal. Consider Honda's track-record:

In mid-March the Canadian Government recognized the Honda Civic Hybrid among the vehicles eligible for its ecoAuto rebate. However, we do not believe the government went far enough in offering benefits to people who want to drive a fuel efficient and environmentally friendly vehicle.
